House of Equity : (in Iran until 1978) a style of local courts with the least jurisdiction created only to address to minor offenses with the ultimate goal of administering the lowest possible punishment for uncontentious cases and of reconciling litigants with arbitration-like justice. The idea of the houses of equity was to free courthouses from the burden of petty cases.
